Online Applying Instructions
First you will need to register with Colorado Parks & Wildlife ( CPW ) by creating an account.
Your user name will be your CID number once you create an account then you will be asked to create a password.
Go to website www.cpw.state.co.us
Click Sign in or register if you haven't already done so.
YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A QUALIFYING LICENSE ( SMALL GAME OR TURKEY ) BEFORE YOU CAN PROCEED TO PURCHASE OR APPLY FOR A BIG GAME TAG/LICENSE. AFTER YOU PURCHASE YOUR SMALL GAME OR TURKEY LICENSE PROCEED WITH THE BELOW DIRECTIONS:
If you already have created an account sign in to your account and continue with the following.
If you haven’t created an account do so now.
Click on sign in or create account.
click on the blue box create an individual account.
Enter in you information in the appropriate boxes.
If mailing address is the same as physical be sure to click that box, then click next.
enter your id info ( I use DL ) click next.
Click your preferred # to call and preferred delivery time to call confirmation letter delivery method you prefer what reservation you prefer ( this is the method that what you are purchasing today will be confirmed to you and delivered that way ( I choose email ).
Either accept or decline consent to release information to outdoor groups click next.
Create a password and remember it.
Click next enter requested info click create account.
This will give you a CID number write it down and remember it.
Next if you need to purchase a qualifying license click hunting & fishing and scroll down to buy small game & combo licenses. A habitat stamp will automatically be added to your purchase if you are between the ages of 18-64.
Select if you are a Colorado resident or not then click proceed and enter your hunter safety info.
Answer number 2 privilege question as to whether or not you require a HIP permit ( I click no and none ) then click add to chart and check out.
Double check your info.
Select the method you want your license mailed to you either pick up or mailed ( I would click Fulfilled by mail ).
Then click standard shipping at no charge- a delayed shipping notice will come up click ok than click proceed to check out.
Click whether or not you want to round up your amount to help Colorado’s natural resources.
Scroll down the term & conditions then check that you have read them.
Click you are not a robot and then click submit payment.
Then print that page for your records.
Then click continue shopping.
Go to the top of the page and click go hunting & fishing and click buy big game licenses, scroll down to the appropriate animal species that you are applying for then click apply now.
This next area is CRITICAL if you are hunting in a group, click, I am applying as part of a group enter the group leaders CID number NOT YOURS then click the magnifying glad to be sure that the group leader has successfully been found if so a green box will appear with confirmation.
Click that you have read the terms & conditions then click proceed.
Then enter the hunt codes that were provided to you by Shari Double check them before you click conform choices.
Click add to cart.
Enter your hunter safety information ( usually fire are certified ) then click add to cart & checkout.
I always triple check my info here.
Then click proceed to checkout.
Click whether or not you want to round up your amount to help Colorado’s natural resources.
Enter credit card information.
Click if this is the payment method you want to us for your license to be charge to is you are successful, if not enter in the card you want to use.
Scroll down the term & conditions then check that you have read them.
Click you are not a robot and then click submit payment.
Then print that page for your records.
